SALLY CARR SENIOR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $150
To be awarded to a competitor, 14 years and over, in Poetry, who, in the opinion of the Adjudicator,
shows most promise and potential in Poetry.

SALLY CARR JUNIOR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $100
To be awarded to 13 years and under, in Poetry, who, in the opinion of the
Adjudicator, shows most promise and potential in Poetry.

MAY PUSEY SCHOLARSHIP - $200
The winner will be a competitor who, in the opinion of the
Adjudicator, shows most promise and potential across all
disciplines of Speech and Drama.


CHAMPIONSHIPS
A minimum of eight competitors must enter for these sections to be held.

DRAMA
In Drama sections, timing will commence from the first action of the performance or freeze position upon entering the stage. Please indicate on Own Choice piece that is handed into the adjudicator which way you will be starting your performance.
There will be no leeway with extra time.
Props A table and two chairs are the only props permitted and will be provided by the Eisteddfod. Assistance with these will be given by the Stage Manager. Any hand held props, for example, basket, scarf, doll etc. are permitted only if part of the routine and must be easily and quickly
carried on stage by the competitor alone in one movement. See Rule 22.0

d) Minimum of 3, maximum of 6 competitors.
e) Preparation Time 1 minute.

380 OPEN SHAKESPEARIAN RECITAL IN COSTUME
Six competitors must enter for this section to be held.
Props to be kept to a minimum.
Competitors must perform an extract from any Shakespearian play.

381 OPEN BARD COMPETITION
a) Each competitor will present THREE own choice poems from memory of different poetic form, for example: sonnet, elegy, narrative, lyric etc.
b) Competitor must introduce choices, which must be theme related
c) The wearing of semi-formal dress is encouraged.

PUBLIC SPEAKING

3. Homework is necessary.

391 13 years and over
Time limit up to 3 minutes.
Competitors must choose one of the following topics.

1. How to deal with anger.
2. I won a million dollars.
3. That farming has done more than mining to upset the Australian ecology.

Please note
Persons can not videotape or photograph a performance, unless they hold the appropriate licences and have written permission of all concerned, because performances, musical arrangements, costume design etc can come under copy right regulations, and it is essential to uphold the child (competitor) protection policy."
