WOLLONGONG EISTEDDFOD DANCE
NATIONAL FOLK

A theatrically choreographed presentation of, or derived from, a National Folk Dance based on the traditional steps, style and costume of the country represented.

CHAMPIONSHIPS
A minimum of eight competitors must enter for these sections to be held.
Competitors must present one dance for the Championship.
Items performed during the Eisteddfod may not be repeated.
Competitors are to remain in costume until the adjudication.

701 JUNIOR 10 - 12 years
Prizes: 1st - $50; 2nd - $30; 3rd - $20
Entry Fee: $9
Time limit up to 3 minutes
To qualify competitors must enter and perform in sections as follows:
10 years 707
11 and 12 years 708

702 INTERMEDIATE
13 - 14 years
Prizes: 1st - $150; 2nd - $100; 3rd - $50
Entry Fee: $15
Time limit up to 3 minutes
To qualify competitors must enter and perform in sections as follows:
13 and 14 years 709

703 SENIOR 15 years and over
Prizes: 1st - $300; 2nd - $125; 3rd - $75
Entry Fee: $25
Time limit up to 3 minutes
To qualify competitors must enter and perform in sections as follows:
15 years and over 710

SOLOS
12 years and under:
Prizes: 1st - Trophy; 2nd and 3rd - Medals
Entry Fee: $8
Time limit up to 3 minutes

13 and 14 years:
Prizes: 1st - $50; 2nd - $30; 3rd - $20
Entry Fee: $9
Time limit up to 3 minutes

15 years and over:
Prizes: 1st - $100; 2nd - $60; 3rd - $40
Entry Fee: $12
Time limit up to 3 minutes

707 10 years and under
708 12 years and under
709 14 years and under
710 15 years and over

Please Note
Persons can not videotape or photograph a performance, unless they hold the appropriate licences and have written permission of all concerned, because performances, musical arrangements, costume design etc can come under copy right regulations, and it is essential to uphold the child (competitor) protection policy."
