Dance sections- Classical Ballet

CLASSICAL BALLET SCHOLARSHIP 13 years and over

Dress for Dance Scholarship classes and improvisation should be plain dark rehearsal leotard. Hair should be in a bun with no adorning hair pieces. 
Competitors must enter and perform in either section 402 or 403
Adjudicators will conduct a class, where up to six (6) finalists. 
will be selected and required to perform in the Scholarship:
Improvisation  (up to 2 minutes)
Classical Ballet (up to 3 minutes)
Demi-Character Solo (up to 4 minutes)
Items already performed may be repeated
Winner of the Classical Ballet Scholarship will be ineligible to 
compete in this section the following year.
	Competitors are to remain in costume until the adjudication.

BALLET CHAMPIONSHIPS
A minimum of eight competitors must enter for these sections to be held.
Competitors must present two dances:
a) Classical (up to 3 minutes)
b) Demi-Character or Character (up to 3 minutes)
Items performed during the Eisteddfod may not be repeated.
Competitors are to remain in costume until the adjudication.

401 JUNIOR: 10 - 12 years under

Trophy: Moore Trophy
Winner also receives $100 voucher to be spent at Classic Moves

No pointes will be allowed in classical ballet sections for 11 years and under.

DEMI-CHARACTER OR CHARACTER BALLET SOLOS

Props A table and two chairs are the only props permitted and will be provided
by the Eisteddfod. Assistance with these will be given by the Stage
Manager. Any hand held props, for example, basket, scarf, doll etc.
are permitted, only if part of the routine, and must be easily and quickly
carried on stage in one movement by the competitor alone. See Rule 22.0
